The Alberici AL55S is a precise electronic coin validator developed for reliable use in various vending machine applications. Through a combination of magnetic and optical sensors, the AL55S reliably detects valid coins and effectively protects against counterfeit money.

Key features

• Precise coin recognition
  Equipped with 6 magnetic sensors and 2 optical detector pairs, the AL55S checks each coin using 13 different parameters. This enables reliable differentiation between genuine and fake coins. Different coin sizes and materials are also detected reliably.

• High-security fraud protection
  The coin validator features additional optical sensors and mechanical anti-fraud mechanisms such as wire cutters and wire catchers. These protective devices prevent tampering, such as retracting the coin with a string (“yo-yo trick”).

• Robust design for continuous operation
  The AL55S housing is made of high-quality, non-deformable polymer. It is resistant to mechanical stress and environmental influences, making the AL55S especially durable and reliable in use – even with changing temperatures and high humidity.

• Flexible programming
  Simple configuration via PC or directly using DIP switches. Up to 16 individually programmable channels possible.

• Energy-efficient & powerful
  A 32-bit ARM microcontroller and low-power circuits ensure low energy consumption – ideal for continuous operation. In standby mode, the AL55S requires only 20 mA, and in power-saving mode just 2.5 mA.
